For fiscal year April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023
The 2022-23 fiscal year started off with a very successful spring planting, followed by a
very wet spring into summer. This contributed greatly to the prevention of Wildfires
within the Lakes Timber Supply Area and the Chinook Community Forest tenure area.
With all the much needed and welcomed moisture, it also comes with operational
issues for harvesting. Some of Chinook’s fire salvage plans had to be pushed into the
fall.
